We, young and old, are called to shine like stars in a troubled world, trusting only in your grace and in the Power of the Holy Spirit.

HONOURING SUNDAY

Please find below a document entitled “Honouring Sunday” which was produced at the last meeting of the Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales.

This document was originally conceived to mark the official re-opening of our churches for ‘normal’ worship as the pandemic came to an end. However as we know, we are being warned of ominous signs of a resurgence. Whilst there is an invitation at the beginning of Advent to be “Welcomed Home”, “Come Home for Christmas”and to attend “The Light Is On For You” the Bishop’s recognise that for some there are valid reasons as to why they are as yet unable to fulfil the absolute duty to attend freely Sunday Mass.

As Father Tim reminds us weekly please take care of yourselves, stay safe and above all keep your faith.

God Bless

Guidelines Concerning Coronavirus

It is not a sin to miss Mass under the circumstances. Please look after yourselves and others around you.The best way of protecting us from spread is for everyone to use universal good hygiene. This will effectively disrupt spread of the virus – catch sneezes in a tissue, bin the tissue, wash your hands with soap and hot water, try not to touch your face unless you have washed your hands.
